A Benton County road worker was hospitalized Wednesday night after police say he crashed his road grader near Pea Ridge.

Stanley Drain, 51, was traveling on Leetown Road just west of Pea Ridge around 7:15 p.m. when he drove off the right side of the pavement. He then steered left, but overcorrected and drove off the other side of the road, according to state police.

The vehicle traveled down an embankment and ran through two fences before coming to rest, according to a crash report released by the Arkansas State Police.

Drain, of Rogers, was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Rogers with unspecified injuries. He was listed in “good” condition late Wednesday night. Snow and slush was on the ground at the time of the crash, police said.

Police are still investigating the crash. No one else was in the vehicle at the time, and no other vehicles were involved, according to state police.
