Charges have been filed on two brothers in connection with a commercial burglary in Van Buren, according to Detective Jonathan Wear with the Van Buren Police Department.

The individuals were identified as Robert and Marshall Elmore (pictured to the right), and they are currently being held in the Franklin County Jail on various charges.

A press release put out by Wear stated, “Robert Elmore and Marshall Elmore, have both been charged with Theft By Receiving (Felony) after being arrested in Franklin County.  Property stolen from Gipson Crane in Van Buren, was recovered by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office at the time.”

The release went on to state that Van Buren detectives now believe, after interviewing the two suspects, that more property stolen from Gipson Crane could have been sold to individuals that were unaware the property was stolen.

The Van Buren Police Department learned that both suspects had been in the Crawford, Fanklin, Sebastian, Pope, and Arkansas County areas since the burglary in Van Buren.

Individuals that have information or who may have received potentially stolen property from the two suspects are asked to contact law enforcement immediately.
