In the River Valley, bitter cold temperatures prepared the area for another possible round of snow.
Flurries were expected and with the wind chill in the single digits, the possibility for slick roads was high.
The recent winter weather has also led to a shortage of heating equipment in the area.
Management with Home Depot said they sold out of hundreds of electric heaters, during the first ice storm in early December.
“Unfortunately, I don’t foresee any more electric heaters coming through just because of the demand,” assistant manager Curtis Williams said.
Home Depot offers kerosene heaters as an alternative.
