The first weekend of the college baseball season is in the books and Arkansas is sitting pretty.

Arkansas managed just three hits in the final game of a three game set with Appalachian State but still found a way to post an 8-3 win at Baum Stadium.

The Razorbacks (3-0) drew seven walks and were hit six different times as Appalachian State struggled with command on the mound.

Tyler Spoon and Brian Anderson continued their hot start as each drove in a run for Arkansas while Joe Serrano and Andrew Benintendi drove home two runs each.

Jacob Stone picked up the win in relief for Arkansas, throwing a scoreless inning, while starter Alex Phillips received a no-decision after allowing three runs in three innings of work.

Arkansas scored 27 runs in the three game series.

The Razorbacks are back on the field Friday (Feb. 21) as Eastern Illinois comes to Fayetteville for a three game series.
