The Aspect Foundation has selected Bentonville High School as the 2014 recipient of its Ambassador Scholarship, according to a news release from the Aspect Foundation.

A nationwide video contest among Aspect Foundation international exchange students led to Bentonville High School being selected.

The 2014 Aspect Foundation Ambassador Scholarship will be awarded at a ceremony on Wednesday (Feb. 26) at 9:30 am at the high school.

“The scholarship includes all program fees and round-trip airfare for a semester or year-long study abroad program, to be awarded to an outstanding student enrolled at Bentonville High School. The destination countries available through the scholarship include Argentina, Ecuador, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Norway,” the news release stated.

Bentonville High School was selected as a recipient of the scholarship after Anna Hemmingsen, a current Aspect exchange student from Denmark studying at Bentonville High School, won the Aspect Foundation’s International Education Week video contest.

Aspect exchange students studying in America were asked to make and film presentations on their home countries and cultures to their hosting high schools to celebrate International Education Week (November 11 through the 22).

In addition to Hemmingsen, Bentonville High School hosts two other Aspect exchange students for the 2013-2014 school year.

The Aspect Foundation is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1985 and is dedicated to excellence in youth exchange.
