Lake Brittany, located in Bella Vista Village, received a load of trout this week to enhance the Property Owners Association’s only trout fishery, according to Christy Attlesey, communications manager for the Bella Vista Village Property Owners Association.

Nearly 1,000 rainbow trout (averaging from 11 to 12 inches) were delivered on Monday (Feb. 24).

Trout stockings are also planned for mid-March and mid-April, according to POA Lake Ecologist and Fisheries Manager Darrell Bowman.

“As with all Bella Vista Village fishing opportunities, state fishing regulations must be followed and an Arkansas Game and Fish Commission state fishing license is required. A trout stamp is required if the trout are to be harvested. The daily state limit is five trout,” the news release stated.

Bella Vista Village’s lakes are open to members and their guests. Members with a POA-issued photo identification card are not required to pay the lake use fee.

Members with a paper membership card and guests are required to have a lake use permit to fish there. These permits are available through a lake ranger. They’re also available at the association’s Membership Services Department, which is located at 3 Euston Rd.
