An escaped convict missing for nearly a week is back in custody.

Gary Topham was taken into custody Sunday afternoon at 12:15 in Del City Oklahoma, according to Sgt. Brandon Sing with the Logan County Police Department.

Sing said they received a tip that Topham was staying with relatives in Oklahoma. Investigators were able to locate a name and address of the family member from jail records, and with the help of the Arkansas Department of Correction.

Deputies had been searching for Topham since he escaped from the Logan County Detention Center last week while awaiting transportation to the Arkansas Department of Correction after pleading guilty to a previous escape charge and drug charges.

This was the second Topham has escaped the detention center.
