One northwest Arkansas clinic has joined a national effort, encouraging parents and kids to read.
The movement called "Read Across America" is an annual program that calls children to read on the birthday of beloved children's author Dr. Seuss.
Springdale Pediatrician Susan Averitt held one of those events at her clinic today.
The event had to be pushed back from earlier this week because of winter weather.
Dr. Averitt said she supports early literacy for kids.
