Three people were hospitalized Friday afternoon in a set of crashes on Interstate 540 near Rogers. One of the wrecks included a Jeep Wrangler that rolled over and crashed into the median, according to emergency responders.

Both crashes involved multiple vehicles and were around the same location. Three people were transported to Mercy Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Rogers Fire Department.

A white Jeep Wrangler rolled over onto its roof and came to rest upside down in the median of the interstate near Exit 82. An eyewitness said a pickup truck hauling a trailer jackknifed and also crashed, coming to rest against a median divider fence just several feet from the Jeep.

At least three fire trucks, an ambulance, and two state troopers responded to the wrecks.

One wreck stalled traffic around 4:15 p.m. in the southbound lanes. The other crash was along the northbound lanes, according to the fire department.

The wreck with the truck and trailer was my husband. He was the passner in the truck. He was in surgery for 5 hours. He broke his foot and ankle in 100 pieces. He almost lost his foot. It took two Drs to put it back together. He is still at Mercy in Rogets,Ar. He is ok now. He still has a long road to recovery. Thanks to everyone for all the prayers.

Looks like the cable barriers helped to make the situation not as bad as it could have been. Speedy recovery to all injured persons, hate to see accidents happen.
