Award-Winning Author To Visit Fayetteville School

Award-winning author Christopher Paul Curtis will visit McNair Middle School on Thursday (March 20), according to Alan T. Wilbourne, Public Information Officer for  Fayetteville Public Schools.

Curtis has published books like The Watsons Go to Birmingham – 1963 and Not Buddy. The first book received a Newbery Honor in 1996, and the second received the Newbery medal and Coretta Scott King Award in 2000.

His presentation will be Livestreamed to six other schools in the district. Those schools are, Butterfield, Root, Leverett, Washington, Holcomb, Holt Middle School.

Curtis’ latest book is called The Mighty Miss Malone.
