Ivy Owen, Executive Director of Chaffee Redevelopment Authority, joins us to talk about the upcoming Spring Festival at Chaffee Crossing.

Each year, the Chaffee Historic District celebrates the day that Elvis got his hair cut at the Chaffee Barber Shop. This year the celebration has grown into an entire festival! The festivities will begin with a barbecue/chili cook-off at noon on Saturday, April 12th. Admission is completely free, with a family-friendly atmosphere and fun for everyone!

At the event, you will be able to enjoy helicopter rides ($25), entertainment, Elvis haircuts, and this year they are introducing a beer garden. Ivy tells us to bring lawn chairs, but don't bring coolers! This event is not a B.Y.O.B.; rather, they would like you to purchase your food and drinks at the festival, as all of the proceeds benefit the Chaffee Crossing Historic District.
