The loss of a child is something no parent wants to imagine, but there is help available for those who need it.
"As a pediatrician, one of the most difficult things I encounter is when a parent is faced with the difficult situation of a child that is terminally ill or a child that dies, " said Dr. Susan Averitt.
Dr. Averitt is a bereaved parent herself, and in an effort to help the community she is participating in a seminar titled, "Parents Left Behind".
"Parents Left Behind" is free to attend and for parents who have lost a child of any age.
The seminar is at The Jones Center for Families in Springdale on April 5, from 8:00 a.m. to Noon.
