Public schools in Cameron, Okla., are open Monday (April 7) after all, said Jim Caughern, Cameron Public Schools superintendent.

This follows an announcement late last week that schools would be closed Monday because of a water boil order in the area.

However, with the boil order lifted, classes will go on as usual on Monday. The school district has 330 students, Caughern said.

Thank you for the wonderful and up-to-date reporting of the water situation over the weekend, granted…sometimes confusing or incorrect. As usual, coverage of the Poteau/River Valley pressing news takes presidence over Corporate Wal-mart’s bowel movements. Not like the River Valley depends on 5news or 40/29 for real time news or anything….as usual. But as we have seen from local news channels personalities lately; driving while intoxicated takes priority over providing truth and fact finding in coverage.
