Anglers from across the world loaded up in their fishing boats Thursday morning (April 10) for the first day of the Walmart FLW Tour at Beaver Lake.

There are 346, both bass fishing professionals and co-anglers. They compete in the tournament for a $125,000 cash prize.

Nichole Mara, a co-angler from Illinois, said she's excited to be out on the water competing. She is one of the few women competing in the tournament.

She talked with 5NEWS Reporter Jocelyne Pruna this morning, as she prepared to go out on the lake.

Below is an interview with Pro-angler Ish Monroe. He's from California and is fishing with co-angler Nichole Mara.
