Fayetteville got a new barbecue restaurant on Thursday (April 10), as the business officially opened its doors to the public for the first time.

The restaurant is called Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, and it opened at 11 a.m. The restaurant serves, “the best darn quick serve BBQ there is.”

They are located at 3316 W. Grove Dr., and they have a drive-thru window.

Orders can be called in at 479-443-3333.

Quick serve BBQ isn’t much of a benchmark. Same class as McRib and Arby’s brisket sandwich.

I tried Dickey’s in Lowell. They are okay, but Boar’s Head is a lot better. I wish Boar’s Head would go back to NW Mall.

Dickey’s is a national chain out of Texas. It’s barbecue, fast food style. Dennis, Dickeys is not in the same class as McRib or Arby’s. Are you and James competitors?.

It’s a fast food barbecue joint and it’s fine as such. It rates well across the country. If in the mood for some bbq or just something besides the standard fast food fare Dickey’s is a good choice. Their national buying power gives them an advantage over competitors in quality of meat and selection. Yet they are not trying to be all things. It’s fast food, national chain barbecue.

To answer your question, no I am not a competitor. However, I have judged at several BBQ contests. I have eaten at Dickeys and stand by my statement that it in the same class as Mcrib and Arbys’ brisket sandwich. Dickeys is no more of a restaurant than either McDonalds or Arbys.
