The Pope County Sheriff’s Office got a call around 3:18 a.m. that a boat had overturned on Lake Dardanelle, according to Pope County Sheriff Aaron Duvall.

Two men reportedly swam to shore and two were missing at the time.

At approximately 1:45 p.m., side scan sonar located one of the men and Arkansas Game and Fish divers went down and located both men at that site.

Victims are 40-year-old Xing Wu Dong of Russellville and 26-year-old Tan Jiang from the search area, according to Duvall.

All four men were related and fishing together. The boat was recovered and no foul play is suspected.

Authorities believe the accident happened some time between 2:30 or 3 a.m.
