Bubba Watson had his back against the wall midway through the final round of the Masters.

But he took control on the final two holes on the front nine and posted a three stroke victory to win his second green jacket in three years.

“I was telling my caddie coming up 18 ‘I don’t remember the last few holes,” Watson said. “I just remember hanging on.’ Walking up 18 was a little bit easier this time.”

Watson trailed 20-year old Jordan Spieth by two strokes heading to the 8th tee. Watson made back-to-back birdies while Spieth posted consecutive bogeys.

Watson took control on the back nine and was never challenged.

“This one is a lot different,” Watson said. “The first one it’s like I lucked into it and this one was a lot of hard work and dedication. After giving up that jacket last year I wanted it back.”
