Motorcycle Driver Dies After Accident Near Ozark

A man is dead after a motorcycle accident near Ozark.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:17 p.m. on Sunday (April 20). The location of the accident was Highway 23, five miles south of Ozark, according to a report from the Arkansas State Police.

The deceased male was identified as Christopher Bennett, 44, of Ozark, according to the report.

Bennett was driving a 2013 Harley Davidson north on Highway 23 when he reportedly failed to negotiate a curve and crossed the median into the ditch on the west side of the road. He traveled a short distance before striking a tree, according to the report.

Bennett was pronounced dead on scene.

His passenger, identified as Deborah J. Nichols, 45, of Ozark, was injured in the crash and transported to Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. The extent of her injuries is unknown.
