University of Arkansas police are seeking a suspect in a sexual assault Sunday (April 27) in the Garland Avenue parking garage on campus, authorities said.

The suspect, described as a 6-foot-tall man with a muscular build, attacked a woman from behind about 8:30 p.m. in the parking garage, according to a campus safety notification issued on Monday (April 28).

Wearing a black ski mask and long-sleeved black T-shirt, the suspect forced the woman against a rail between the first and second levels in the west stairwell, the notification states. The suspect also was wearing dark blue jeans and brown work boots.

The victim kicked her assailant and escaped, according to the notification.
