Four Lady Bears Sign With Colleges

Northside has four players sign national letters of intent on Tuesday

Northside is no stranger to winning in girls basketball. They're also no stranger to sending girls to play at the next level.

Four Lady Bears signed with schools on Tuesday, pushing the 2013-14 senior class to five college signees.

Tyler Adams signed with the University of the Ozarks while both Hailey Bunch and Brianna Jackson each signed with Independence Junior College. Jackson averaged 15.3 points per game while shooting 46 percent from the floor and added four rebounds and two assists per game.

Olivia Hanson signed with Missouri Western State after lead Northside in scoring at 15.6 points on a team high 53 percent from the floor. Hanson also finished the season averaging 5.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists.

"They came in as sophomores and no one really expected a lot out them and set a school record for victories," Northside coach Rickey Smith said. "29 victories as sophomores and then had the added pressure of trying to duplicate that two years in a row. To go to the state championship game three times. To win one of them. Very, very good class. They left their mark at Northside high school

Jill Myers signed with Rockhust University in the fall.
