The man killed in a one-vehicle accident Thursday morning (May 1) on Interstate 40 has been identified, according to a police report.

The man was identified as James Baxter, 71, of Henderson, Texas, the police report said.

Arkansas State Police said a tractor-trailer rolled onto its side in the grassy median about a mile east of Coal Hill. One woman was sent to the hospital.

The woman was identified as Lynn Martinez, 60, of Littlefield Ariz, according to the report.

The driver failed to make a turn around a right-hand bend in the road, and the truck drifted into a barrier and overturned in the median, the report said.

Baxter was partially ejected and pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by Johnson County Coroner Dave Cogan.
