A Springdale man was arrested Thursday after allegedly impregnating a Springdale teenager.

Billy Pedro, 33, was arrested on suspicion of felony rape. He remained Friday night in the Washington County Detention Center on $50,000 bond, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Police said Pedro carried on a relationship with a local teenager over at least the last nine months. She is five months pregnant as a result of the relationship, police said.

Springdale detectives began investigating the situation after receiving information from the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children division. After interviewing the victim and two family members, police arrested Pedro.

Pedro and the victim had been living in a local apartment for five to seven days at the time of the investigation, according to a preliminary report from the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office.

Pedro’s arraignment is set for June 9.

How any man could get laid with that hair is amazing. Welcome to Arkansas, she has to be at least 16.

In a lot of poor cultures it is normal for the parents to “give” the teen daughters to older men.

This is very common in most third world countries.

Yes, but this is NOT a third-world country (yet) and we have laws to protect children from perverts. If you don’t want to follow them, change them or be prepared to face the consequences of breaking them.

We all have allowed this type to invade our country and the president just demands ICE let 36,000 of them out of jail free. Who is next?
