Several Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport flights to and from Chicago were delayed Tuesday because of a smoke scare that caused an evacuation.

A ground halt was issued in Chicago at O’Hare and Midway international airports after a local radar facility was evacuated because of smoke inside the building. Four flights into Northwest Arkansas from Chicago were delayed Tuesday afternoon, possibly because of the ground halt, while two flights to Chicago from XNA were delayed, according to XNA’s website.

Flights into and out of the Chicago airports resumed just after 3 p.m. Northwest Arkansas flights to and from Chicago starting at 6 p.m. showed “on time” on XNA’s website.
