Crawford County authorities are interviewing a suspect involved in a late-night stabbing in Uniontown.

Crawford County Sheriff Ron Brown said they are interviewing 33-year-old Billy Joe Nelson. He is described to have brown hair and hazel eyes. He is 5'9 tall and weighs 130 pounds.

At this time, the suspect has not been arrested. He is just being interviewed as a "person of interest," authorities say.

Brown said the stabbing happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday night (May 13) on Confederate Lane in Uniontown.

The victim was transported to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries and released, according to Brown.

Chief Deputy Jim Damante said the victim was stabbed twice in the upper torso. He said the sheriff's office doesn't know what weapon was used in the stabbing and investigators haven't found it yet.

The sheriff's office isn't releasing the victim's name at this time.

Below are pictures that were taken in 2008 of Nelson.
