The department took a report of a bomb threat at the Springdale High School on April 23. Someone had spray painted the threat on the inside of the school, and it was evacuated, according to the release.
A search yielded no results for a bomb or any suspicious devices. Authorities began their investigation immediately afterwards and obtained enough evidence to arrest a 16-year-old male student with the crime, the release states.
On May 12 around 2:30 p.m., detectives arrested the student.
The student will soon be booked into the Washington County Juvenile Detention Center and faces a charge of Communicating a False Alarm (felony), according to the release.
