Long Free Kick Sends Har-Ber into Next Round

The Lady Wildcats soccer team moves past Conway in the 7A State Soccer Tournament.
In the game of soccer one free kick can mean the difference between a win or a loss.  That's exactly all the Har-Ber Lady Wildcats needed against Conway.  Junior Adeline Williams took a 35 yard free kick, putting it exactly where the keeper couldn't reach it.
"That set play came perfect for us. She just did a good job of lining it up and hitting that back post," said head coach John Marshall.  "She can hit those, and we're very fortunate because we did a good job of moving the ball around but we just weren't getting that last shot."
"Well I just had the wind with it so I just decided that I was going to try to put it away, and it worked out," said junior midfielder Adeline Williams.
The one goal win put Har-Ber into the second round, an improvement from last year.
"Last year we were out in the first round, so at least we accomplished that," said Williams.  "It's really exciting and a great feeling that we did better than last year, that we are moving on to the next round of it."
Their next opponent is No. 1 seed Mount St. Mary's.
"Mount St. Mary's will be a very tough team for us but I think the girls will be ready," said Marshall.  "We've been working really hard and the last couple practices have been good."
