Fort Smith Police Arrest Valero Robbery Suspect

The Fort Smith Police Department has arrested the Valero robbery suspect, according to a news release from Sgt. Daniel Grubbs.

The gas station located at 5727 Kelley Hwy was robbed on May 4 at approximately 1:44 a.m., according to the release.

Identified as Malcolm Anthony Thomas, 21, the suspect was arrested Tuesday (May 27).

Acting on information they’d received, police traveled to an apartment complex located at 115 North Albert Pike Ave.

The apartment was surrounded, and Thomas was taken into custody without any incident. He is currently being held at the Sebastian County Detention Center with a $25,000 bond.
