Springdale Police have announced they’re working a scam case involving a Hispanic male claiming to be with Royal Prestige.

The suspect, known as “Omar,” claims to work for Royal Prestige and says he’ll give the victim a free gift just for listening to him for a few minutes, according to police.

Omar then does a demonstration and offers discounts on products. He’ll take the victim’s cash and/or jewelry as payment for the merchandise and promises to return within the hour delivering their products. Then, he simply doesn’t return.

Detectives contacted the Royal Prestige office in Springdale, and they said they do not employ anyone named “Omar,” but they have heard of the man scamming residents in Northwest Arkansas and Fort Smith.

The suspect’s vehicle is a blue Fort Expedition displaying a Texas license plate, “28PPV5.”

If anyone has information on the suspect, they are encouraged to call the Springdale Police Department at 479-751-4542 or the Crimestoppers Tip Line at 790-TIPS.
