Receiver Cowan Suspended From Team Activities

D'Arthur CowanArkansas receiver D’Arthur Cowan has been suspended from all team activities according to head coach Bret Bielema.

Cowan had four catches for 26 yards last season as a sophomore.

Bielema added that the junior from Olive Branch, Miss. has full academic support but will not be allowed to participate with the team.

College football teams are limited during the offseason and can only have contact with limited personnel during the offseason.

“D’Arthur will concentrate on his academics and putting himself in a position to more forward academically for eligibility and graduation,” Bielema said via his Twitter account, @BretBielema.

Cowan has seven catches in his career for 40 yards but figured to see more time this fall.
