Father's Day is upon us once again and many took the time out to spend with their dads.
While many attended churches in Fort Smith that held special services to honor fathers, others simply enjoyed a relaxing day. Some fathers enjoyed lunch and dinner with their families, some enjoyed fishing trips and even a few worked on home improvement projects.
Father's Day celebrations date back to the year 1908 when the first event was held to honor fathers in Fairmont, West Virgina.
The holiday was said to be created to complement Mother's Day.
