Hundreds of fans filled downtown Fort Smith for the 24th Annual Riverfront Blues Fest.

The music fest was a two long event starting Friday June 20th and ending Saturday June 21st.

This year's headliners included Lil' Ed and The Blue Imperials as well as Paul Thorn.

Organizers say this year the event was extra special because so many of the performers were local.

Blues Fest Director Dwight Hopkins says even though this year's event just finished they are already planning for next years fest.  Next year will be the 25th anniversary of Blues Fest and Hopkins says he wants to make it bigger and better than it ever has been.
