The Fayetteville Animal Shelter's Kittens for Kibble Adoption event concluded on Saturday.

The week long event started on Monday, June 16th and ended on Saturday, June 21st.

Instead of the normal $20 adoption fee, the shelter asked people to bring in a donation of pet food for the Ranger's Pantry Pet Food Bank. The food bank helps low income families feed their pets in times of need.

Organizers said nearly forty kittens found new homes this week. The shelter also raised close to 400 pounds of food for Ranger's Pantry.
