Wie Takes NWA Championship Lead, Lewis Four Back

Seven of world’s top 15 women golfers in contention heading into Sunday’s final round

Last week Stacy Lewis had to chase Michelle Wie for the U.S. Open Championship.

This weekend, the former Razorback must do the same at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship at Pinnacle Country Club.

Wie fired her second straight 5-under 66 to move to 10-under for the tournament and holds a two stroke lead over So Yeon Ryu.

Lewis matched Wie's 66 on Saturday to move to 6-under for the tournament heading into Sunday's final round.

"Michelle is obviously playing some really good golf," Lewis said. "I'm going to have to shoot a good number tomorrow."

Wie, who started on the back nine, wrapped up her round with a 4-under 32 on the front nine.

"I love when she's kind of in the mix because I know she's going to do something crazy, post a low score and she definitely inspires me, motivates me," Wie said of Lewis.

Chella Choi is currently in a tie for third with Suzann Pettersen and Line Vedel at 7-under. Lewis is one of five players currently sitting four strokes off the pace.

The second round was postponed to due rain and will be completed Sunday morning.
