A van driver was ticketed Tuesday afternoon after colliding with a motorcycle driven by a 20-year-old Rogers man.

The crash victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was flown by a medical helicopter to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, according to the Rogers Police Department.

Emergency crews responded at 1:52 p.m. to 1700 S. Eighth St., where police said a van pulled out in front of the motorcycle, being ridden by Clark Vennerbeck. The van and motorcycle collided, causing the motorcyclist serious leg injuries, according to the Rogers Fire Department.

Vennerbeck was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, police said. No one else was injured in the crash.

The crash victim was driving the motorcycle northbound on Eighth Street when a Dodge Caravan, driven by Carlos Alberto Arana Blandon, made a left turn in front of Vennerbeck in an attempt to access a private drive, according to Rogers police.

Blandon, 33, was cited on suspicion of failure to yield and having no driver’s license, police said.
