Fireworks Light Up Alma Sky

Large crowds gathered Thursday (July 3) in Alma as fireworks exploded through the night.

5NEWS went behind the scenes to see what it took to put on the show.

Celebration Pyrotechnics based out of Kansas City put on the show.

Owner Alesha Murcia said it took about three months of planning.

"We bring it out here and blow it up in a matter of minutes," Murcia said.

Murcia said more than $10,000 worth of explosives went off.

Murcia said her next show is in Tulsa, Okla.

    So even after her company refuses to pay a workers comp case they lost in court this company is still in business AND still lighting fireworks the same way (by hand) that almost blew a persons hand off?!? How do people get away with this??
