The Tigers won the 2013-2014 MaxPreps Cup, which compiles rankings by giving points for finishing first or second at the state championship level.

Bentonville High School has been named as the best high school sports program in the country by MaxPreps.

The Tigers won the 2013-2014 MaxPreps Cup, which compiles rankings  by giving points for finishing first or second at the state championship level.

MaxPreps recognized eight state championships- boys soccer, boys swimming, boys tennis, boys track, football, girls soccer, girls track and girls swimming.

The Arkansas Activities Association recognized ten, including girls bowling and dance.

Along with those 10 state championships, the Tigers had second place finishes in softball and boys golf.

Bentonville finished with a total of 1,120 points, based on the MaxPreps Cup formula. Second place St. Pius X (Atlanta) finished with 985 points.

According to the MaxPreps website, points were also awarded for size of playoff division and type of sport. Football championships won at the large-school level were worth more than championships at the small-school level.
