MASSACHUSETTS (WFMY) – A 5-year-old boy in Massachusetts is battling cancer, and all he wants for his upcoming birthday is a box of birthday cards, according to affiliate station WFMY.
Danny Nickerson, of Foxboro, Mass, will turn six on July 25, WFMY reported.
“He was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor this past October — one of the most chemotherapy-resistant cancers,” according to WFMY.
Nickerson has had 33 radiations from November, 2013 to December, 2013. He’s getting chemotherapy every two weeks, WFMY reported.
He has stopped going to kindergarten, and he gets lonely from time to time, but he can recognize his name, and he is always happy when he gets something with his name on it, according to WFMY.
Nickerson’s mother says he loves Lego and Super Mario.
