Our sister station, WGN America, will premiere a new television series on Sunday, July 27th called "Manhattan."

The title refers to the Manhattan Project which was the official codename of research and development of the first atomic bombs during World War II.

Spearheaded by the United States, but with support from the UK and Canada, the efforts took place from 1942 to 1946.

WGN's "Manhattan" is a fictional series, based on the lives of everyone involved.

"Manhattan" premieres Sunday evening at 8 (Central Time) on WGN.
