One Dead, Another Injured In Don Tyson Parkway Accident

Man Hits Deer

SPRINGDALE (KFSM) – A 30-year-old man was killed Friday (July 25th) in a two car accident on Don Tyson Parkway, according to a news release by the Springdale Police Department.

The release states the accident happened near the intersection with Turner Street at 3:27 p.m. The Springdale Fire Department arrived after the police responded to remove the two trapped drivers, according to the release.

John Barry, 65, from Rogers drove the other car and suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Both were transported to the NW Medical Center.

The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital a short while after arriving for treatment. Springdale Police say they are withholding his name until his family gets notified.

The accident remains under investigation.
