BEAVER LAKE (KFSM) – The man run over Friday by a pontoon boat on Beaver Lake remained hospitalized Monday and is described by officials as “touch and go”.

The 24 year old was driving a jet ski near Penitentiary Cove on the north side of Beaver Lake when he was run over by a pontoon boat driven by family members. He was taken by helicopter to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

Authorities have not yet released the man’s name or details on his injuries. He underwent at least two surgeries over the weekend in connection with his injuries, according to the Game and Fish Commission.

The crash victim who suffered severe trauma was the only person on the jet ski. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is still in the preliminary stages of an investigation, officials said.

There were no other reported injuries in the crash.
