Sam’s Club Announces Plans To Come To Springdale

SPRINGDALE (KFSM) Sam’s Club announced plans to come to the city of Springdale, according to a news release on Friday (Aug. 1).

The company said it had plans to open a new warehouse club that will create approximately 175 jobs and open in the spring of 2016, the news release states.

“We are so excited Sam’s Club sees the value of doing business in our community,” said Springdale Mayor Doug Sprouse, “The newly announced plans for retail development along 56th street show that Springdale and the Don Tyson corridor are truly open for business.”

The new club location will be approximately 136,000 square feet and will feature members-only sections, including a bakery, a tire and battery center, a cafe and a fuel station, according to the release.

“Sam’s Club is thrilled to be coming to Springdale,” said Sam’s Club Market Manager Kurt Hess. “We are excited to about offering our members a more convenient location and meeting the needs of small business owners in this growing business community.”
