This week on Adventure Arkansas Tyler answers a question that has been asked more and more over the past decade, "What's Sup?"  SUP is an acronym for Stand Up Paddle Boarding.  SUP has been taking off in popularity across the country, and Tyler tried it out with instructor and owner, Melody Elliot,  of SUP Outfitters.

SUP first originated in Hawaii, and is an offshoot of surfing.  You stand up on the board and use a large paddle to propel yourself instead of laying on the board and kicking, or kneeling and paddling.  This style of board allows surfers to paddle further out into the oceans, and see incoming waves and fellow surfers better.

SUP can be a leisurely experience or an intense workout.  See Tyler's SUP adventure in the video above.
