FRANKLIN COUNTY (KFSM) -  The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is searching for an inmate who walked away from the jail Sunday (August 12) afternoon.

Toby Clay Tygart, 52, walked away from the jail around 2:15 p.m., according to Sheriff Anthony Boen.

He is described as 6'1, weighing 150 lbs, with blond hair and blue eyes.

Tygart is currently serving a sentence for drug charges. According to Boen, Tygart was a trustee who worked in the kitchen, and did various remodeling projects on the jail.

Tygart is originally from Logan County, but he may have ties in Northwest Arkansas, authorities said.

Boen spoke with 5NEWS and said there is no reason to believe Tygart may be armed or dangerous.

If you see Tygart you are asked to call the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
