FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – A Fayetteville man has been sentenced to 55 years in prison for child pornography, officials say.

Jesse Oziah, 19, was sentenced to 55 years in prison without the possibility of parole, followed by 25 years of supervised release for charges of production of child pornography, according to a news release from Conner Eldridge, US. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas.

Judge Timothy L. Brooks presided over the sentencing in the United States District court in Fayetteville.

Oziah was arrested on Nov. 19, 2013, on suspicion of federal charges of producing and possession child pornography.

He was convicted of photographing himself engaged in sexual activities with a young local boy and also taking pictures of the boy’s genitalia.

The Department of Homeland Security received a tip from the National Center For Missing And Exploited Children saying they found a child pornography image that had been uploaded onto Facebook.

Investigators traced the IP address of the illegal upload to Oziah’s home, after which, authorities obtained a warrant and searched the residence, according to federal court documents. Authorities found an iPod Touch in Oziah’s bedroom that showed inappropriate sexual images of a man and a young boy, according to court documents.

“Cases in which children are sexually abused are horrifying and astounding,” said Eldridge. “In this case, the Defendant assaulted an 8 year old little boy.  This is reprehensible and the Defendant has now been brought to justice.  We will continue to aggressively prosecute cases involving the abuse of children and the production of child pornography to the fullest extent of the law.   We will continue to stand up for children throughout Arkansas.”
