U.S. Rep. Tom Cotton, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, appeared on "5NEWS This Morning" on Aug. 17 in an interview segment with 5NEWS Managing Editor Larry Henry. The topics included Obamacare, national spending and immigration. Cotton is running in the Nov. 4 general election against Democrat Mark Pryor, the incumbent. Pryor was invited to appear on the interview segment with Cotton. His campaign declined, saying Pryor will appear in an interview segment with Henry at a later date.

As many times as Cotton said Obama in the interview, I was beginning to think he adored him.

Arkansans now 22nd in the nation in health care and before we were 49th.
191,200 people now have Medical Insurance. Vote Mark Pryor if you care about Arkansas people rather than the Koch Brothers.

Gallup released a survey last week that generated the best headlines for Arkansas in years. “Best state in America: Arkansas …” began the headline in the Washington Post’s political tipsheet. Gallup reported that Arkansas had reduced the number of its uninsured more than any other state since the last big element of Obamacare kicked in last fall.

No one could have been surprised because Arkansas had lagged every state but Texas in the proportion of its people who were uninsured and thus without sure access to medical care when they got sick, so any significant progress would be dramatic. Also, among the states with the highest share of poor, only Arkansas and Kentucky implemented the facet of Obamacare that insures the poorest of the poor.

Yawn. Typical liberal talking points full of inaccuracies. The truth:
Obama is a washed-up, phony crook. Pryor supports Obama. Pryor is a washed-up, phony crook. The real best headline for Arkansas in years will be when Asa and Tom win and turn Arkansas completely red. Liberals you may leave the state now to find a new home to infest and ruin.

      • Sarah 300

Bargain time? If Asa Nd Tommy win, I go away. If Mark and Mike win, you and your multiple aliases go away? Deal?
In my comment, I stated fact. In your comment, no fact only opinion and hyperbole.

Elfphalus, your among the few who truly understand how thangs really work. Its just like I said before, and I’ll quote myself here:

“See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda.” –Greece, N.Y., May 24, 2005

Thats as true today as back when I said it. So many people fail to grasp the necessity of repetative redundantsy. But you, Elfy, are a true patriot and I’m proud you learnt so much from me. Remember:

“Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.” –Washington, D.C., Aug. 5, 2004

“There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on –shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.” –Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 17, 2002

        Heckofa job, Elfy!

I looked up your link to Apothecary. Under the headline it says FORBES magazine in no way supports or agrees with opinion pieces submitted. Try real news not blog or opinion sites.

“The trouble with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.” -Margaret Thatcher We’ll see if Arkansas can afford this welfare program in a few years when the feds stop paying (that is if obamacare even exists by then). Yes, the well will run dry soon enough and then clowns like Sarah 300 will have a hard time searching the Internet for their “facts.”

      • Sarah 300

Do you not allow others comments Arnie, only your own? Do you assume that by using numerous aliases it helps your cause?
Thatcher took excellent care of her citizens with the NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE. They have enjoyed health care since 1948. Do you ever look up real facts or just doing hash?

    • Tom

Liberal hypocrites are so predictable in bringing up the Koch brothers. They conveniently “forget” George Soros. This is why they no credibility amongst honest, intelligent people.

  • Lady Liberty

It is never “good news” when more people become dependent on the government. And once the government controls your healthcare, they control your life from cradle to grave. The only thing democrats “care” about is staying in power and controlling people’s lives. There is nothing noble in that. When the money runs out (and it WILL run out), the riots to follow will make Ferguson look like a school-yard spat. What will the liberal snakes do then? They’ll slither away into denial and hiding. But they’ll be found and dealt with accordingly.

  • ugotthatrite

what will the backlash be? hourly tv commercials blame pryor. meanwhile voters saw no minimum wage increase and voter id laws, abortion bans and confusion over open carry. now republicans trying to do away with term limits(hiding it in ethics and campaign reform bill)
asa and tommy over mike and mark? i’ve seen polls predicting it, but from what i’m hearing and seeing on line and thru social media???? no way..
    jus say’n

    • ugotthatrite

and if cotton loses? he can’t lose because i guess he plans on serving out the remander of his term as a us rep? pretty cushy gig, i reckon, knowing that nothing ventured is nothing gained!! time to retire pryor? the ads tell us that what arkansas needs. (yeah, no state benefits financially or economically from having long term, incumbent senators. vote them out and get rookies in there so they’ll get on the best committees) NOT!! don’t buy the big money/ party lies about what’s best for our state.
      jus say’n….

      • sarah 300

Mr. Cotton has made it clear he will take away the Medical exchanges that have provided new insurance to 191,200 of Arkansas poorest citizens. He is not FOR Arkansas, he is AGAINST the people and taking care of them and their health needs. If you don’t have good health, nothing else matters.

VOTE MARK PRYOR.  Look around the rest of the country, people are crying out for what Arkansas was granted. We are so blessed to see our friends and relatives with health coverage that was unattainable just a few months ago.

How many low level jobs provide health care? Not many. We have health care in Arkansas and we will fight to keep it.

  • George Dubya Bush

Anybody that’d vote for Richard Pryor over Tom Cotton don’t deserve to live in a county where my mom’s piture is on the dollar bill.

And you can quote me on that.
