SALLISAW (KFSM) – A five-mile stretch of I-40 in the Sallisaw area will be down to one lane in each direction, according to a release from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
The eastbound and westbound lanes between Dwight Mission Rd. and US-59 will be narrowed down to one lane for a pavement rehabilitation project.
In June, the Oklahoma Transportation Commission awarded a contract with a $10.4 million base bid to Duit Construction Company, Inc./TTK Construction Company, Inc. of Edmond, the release states.
The project is expected to be completed by spring 2015.
