BENTON COUNTY (KFSM) – Benton County Judge Bob Clinard is recovering from home after undergoing a heart procedure Monday in Bentonville, according to Clinard’s office.

The procedure was performed Monday at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. Clinard was then sent home and is now resting, the judge’s office said Tuesday.

Local attorney Edwin N. McClure sent out a statement Monday saying, “(Clinard) and his family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers over the past few days.”

The operation came three days after Clinard was cited at Frisco Fest in Rogers on suspicion of public intoxication. He told county deputies at the event Friday night that he was having a medical emergency and needed an ambulance. The judge was then taken by ambulance to Northwest Medical Center and later cited by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of public intoxication.

Clinard is scheduled to appear in Rogers District Court on Oct. 7 at 9 a.m., records show.
