Deputies: Rogers Man Rapes Young Teen, She Becomes Pregnant

ROGERS (KFSM) – A Rogers man was arrested last week on suspicion of raping a teenager who became pregnant, according to a probable cause report.

Dalton J. Rogers, 21, was booked in to the Benton County Jail on Aug. 22 and faces two counts of rape, the report states.

On Aug. 22 authorities responded to the 13000 block of Cloverdale Road in Rogers on a call about a rape, the report states. When Benton County Sheriff’s deputies arrived, they saw Rogers on his knees with his hands behind his back on the driveway, according to the report.

The  victim’s mother was there and said Rogers had sex with her daughter and had gotten her pregnant. Rogers was placed in a patrol car while deputies talked with the victim’s mother, the report states.

The mother said she was informed of the rape after her daughter told another family member she had sex with Rogers, and that family member told the victim’s mother, according to the report.

Upon learning about the situation, she called authorities, the report states.

Rogers was taken to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, where he agreed to provide a statement to deputies, the report states. He said he had sex with the victim three times and that she is pregnant with his baby, according to the report. Rogers told authorities he knew he was going to get in trouble for having sex with the 14-year-old victim, according to the report.

Rogers’ bond was set at $25,000, the jail’s intake report states.
