FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – Arkansas pizza chain Eureka Pizza announced on Tuesday (Aug. 26) that it would sell pizzas for pennies at their University of Arkansas location in Fayetteville if the Razorbacks football team beats Auburn in their first game on Saturday (Aug. 30).

The Razorbacks are scheduled to play Auburn at 3 p.m. at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Alabama.

If the Razorbacks win, then Rolf Wilkin, owner of Eureka Pizza, said his restaurant at 826 N. Leverett Ave. would sell large pizzas for “one penny per point.”

This means that if Arkansas scores 21 points and beats Auburn, then large pepperoni, sausage or cheese pizzas will be just 21 cents each, according to Wilkin.

“We are so pumped for the beginning of football, and we’re so confident of a win that will be a big part of restoring Razorback football to national prominence,” Wilkin said.

The penny pizzas will be available to at least the first 1,000 customers (limit one pizza per customer) on Monday (Sept. 1) if the Razorbacks are victorious, according to Wilkin.
