Poteau Man in Critical Condition After Motorcycle Crash

LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM) – One man is in critical condition after being involved in a motorcycle accident yesterday (August 26) around 6:40 p.m., according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

According to troopers on scene, Raymond Moon, 54, was travelling southbound on US-270 near Red Oak when he failed to yield at a stop sign. Donald Patchin, 56, of Poteau was riding a 1999 Harley Davidson going eastbound, when he collided with Moon’s vehicle.

Patchin was transported by helicopter to St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa where he is listed in critical condition with both head and leg injuries. He was not wearing a helmet, according to troopers on scene. Moon was not injured.
